The Sagittarius dog is the type of dog that probably gave his owner more than a good share of headaches as a puppy, what with his boundless and nervous energy that borders on the hysterical. The Sagittarius dog, however, is worth waiting to grow up from puppyhood to adulthood, because as they become adults, they become the temperate, self-controlled pooches that they are.
Sagittarius dogs are quite easy to teach and are very reliable. They are the kinds of dogs that can be taught to fetch the newspaper in the morning, and it is a chore that the Sagittarius dog will love doing for his master. Fetching newspapers, however, is not the only trick that the Sagittarius dog can be taught. Other handy tricks will come easily to the Sagittarius dog too, and he can be quite the clown if he has the mind to. Sagittarius dogs are eager to entertain their owners and their owners’ guests.
As to be expected of a canine born under the sign of the Archer, the Sagittarius dog is a hunter. He is always found sniffing about corners, tracking after a scent and flushing out small animals from their hiding places. The Sagittarius dog, however, will never kill an animal unless he thinks it is threatening himself and those whom he cares about. He is a very kind and compassionate dog, the type who is fond of picking up strays and bringing them home.
The Sagittarius dog is always happy and seems to be always interested in what is going on about him. He is the canine *****alent of the human busybody and always appears to be listening in to conversations, especially if the conversation is about him.
A sturdy dog, often with good constitution, the Sagittarius dog is rarely sick. He, however, hates the water and abhors baths. He also does not like being around cats; if there is a cat in the household, the Sagittarius dog is bound to snub her.
The possibility of a long trip, perhaps an extended summer holiday or even re********, is in the horizon for the Sagittarius dog this year. As much as the Sagittarius dog loves excitement, the idea of being away from home for a long time may be unsettling for him. Leaving him behind, however, is not an option; separation from his owner may prove to be too confusing for the Sagittarius dog. If that is the case, he must be allowed to get used to the idea of moving away.
Once he has gotten used to his new surroundings, the Sagittarius dog will sure to go back to his usual tricks. Although he can be timid and aloof towards dogs of the opposite sex, he may find a lovely she-dog to have a fling with during this extended trip. It will be a lighthearted affair that the Sagittarius dog knows will not last. It may, nonetheless, result in a few puppies. Coming back home to family and friends after this long trip is something the Sagittarius dog will dearly love.
